A memorial service for David K. Sellers age 77 of Cumby will be conducted at Cumby Methodist Church in Cumby, at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012, with Duncan Graham officiating. There will be no formal visitation. David K. Sellers passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kimble County on September 10, 1934, the son of J. B. Sellers and Lucille (Rankin) Sellers. He married Rosie Lee Lapaglia in Houston on March 5, 1955; she survives. He was a field service manager for Xerox and a member of Cumby Methodist Church. Other survivors include: two daughters, Kennon Marie Sellers Payne and husband, Steven, of San Antonio and Karen Lee Gorden and husband, Donald, of Commerce; son, Jay Britt Sellers of Waco; sister, Jo Ann Godfrey of Willis; brother, Jamie B. Sellers and wife, Linda, of Midland; grandchildren, Donnie Gorden, Vanessa Oliver and husband, Ross, Brittany Hayes and husband, Ronnie, Michael Sellers, Matthew Sellers and Josie Sellers. He was preceded in death by his parents.
