Funeral service for Betty Jo Tippit, age 60, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:30 A.M on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Davis Street Baptist Church with Bro. Al Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Hart Cemetery, Cash, TX with Justin Killingsworth, Jordan Killingsworth, Chad Hutchison, Kris Hutchison, Kevin Hutchison, Andrew Kelly serving as pallbearers and Jared Killingsworth serving as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. at Grace Family Church, Sulphur Springs on Friday, July 5, 2019. Mrs. Tippit passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at her home.

Betty Jo was born on December 27, 1958 to Don and Emma Jo Hutchison in Dallas, Texas. She married Curtis Tippit on March 2, 1984 in Garland, TX. Betty Jo received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from East Texas State University and worked for NETData. She was a Christian since the age of 10 and was a member of Grace Family Church.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis Tippit; children, Chloe Cross of Greenville, J.D Tippit and wife, Jessie of Sandia Park, NM, Barbie Termini and husband, Andrew of Rockwall, Mandie Miller and husband, Sam of Bryan, TX, Andrea Holland and husband, John of Sulphur Springs, Ariel Olson and husband, Jon of West Columbia, TX, Walter Tippit of Greenville, Jodie Belle Tippit of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Scarlette Cross, Malcolm Cross, Kent Miller, Eva Miller; brother, Don C. Hutchison, Jr., sisters, Cathy Killingsworth, Debbie Kelly; seven nephews.

Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty Jo will forever be known as a sweet caring woman who was everyone’s mother. She never met a stranger and made everyone around her feel the deepest love. Betty Jo lived her life serving the Lord and her family with willing sacrifice. Pop-up camping and long road trips were Betty’s favorite ways to vacation. NetData became her work family the last 10 years of her life, she loved her job and the people that she worked with. She started as a Application Development Team Leader and ended her career as Administrative Support to the President of NetData. As for hobbies Betty Jo enjoyed gardening, shopping at Costco and JcPenny (clearance racks only) and raising her family. Betty Jo wanted to leave this earth with a legacy of love. It is safe to say that she left an imprint of love on the hearts of anyone that she met.
