Funeral service for Alice Vaselo, age 82, of Yantis, Texas, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 19, at White Oak Fellowship with Jimmy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery. Mrs. Vaselo passed away at Christus Mother Frances in Sulphur Springs on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
Alice Vaselo was born on April 4, 1943, in De Queen, Arkansas, to Thomas and Hilda Benton. She married Peter Vaselo in Texarkana, Texas, on October 19, 1960. Alice was a devoted member of White Oak Fellowship Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and being part of her church community. She had a joyful spirit and a love for music, often spending time singing karaoke and dancing. She and her husband, Peter, shared many wonderful years traveling the world together while he worked, creating memories and experiences she always cherished. She loved fashion and took great joy in clothes, makeup, and getting dressed up. She also enjoyed making her home comfortable, and she especially loved the excitement of picking out a new couch. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her love of music and travel, and the happiness she brought to those who knew her.
Alice is survived by her sons, Tommy Vaselo and wife, Robbie of Yantis, Texas, Billy Vaselo and wife Lisa of Yantis, Texas; grandchildren, David Agnew, Billy Vaselo, Gage Vaselo, Amber Vaselo, Jade Vaselo, and David Vaselo; brother, Harvey Benton; and two step-sisters, Billie Ann and Jean.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Hilda Benton.
