Arthur Marlar

Memorial service for Arthur Ray "Pa-Paw" Marlar, age 60, of Cumby, will be held at 11:00 A.M on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Oates Drive Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas, with Pastor Jim Moore and Pastor Jim Burt officiating.

Mr. Marlar passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2017 at his home. He was born May 16, 1956, in Dallas Texas, the son of Thomas and Hazel Marlar. He married Laura Jo Burt on October 30, 1976 in Farmers Branch, Texas. Arthur was a retired mechanic and a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumby.

Mr. Marlar is survived by his wife Laura Jo Marlar; sons, Nicholas Marlar and wife Karen, Anthony Marlar and wife Jamie; daughter, Dawn Gentry Currin; sister, Judy Yager; grandchildren, Victoria, Alexandria, Alexander, Alli, Anna, Mathew, Jonathan, Kay-Lee, and Kaiden and great grandson, Jayce.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, David "Sonny" Marlar; sister, Wanda Rivers; daughter, Olivia Marlar.
