Athena Nabors

Graveside service for Athena Nabors, age 91 of Amarillo, TX will be held at 2:00P.M. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 with Rev Jerry Radney. Visitation will be held from 10:00A.M. to 12:00P.M. on Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Nabors passed away on January 28, 2022 at Amarillo Center for Skilled Care.

Athena was born on October 16, 1930in Strong City, OK to Paul and Florence Eve (Hillman) Jefcoat. She married Arzie Randolph Nabors in 1947. Athena was a retired nurse. She was a woman of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughters, Lavene Chinea and husband George and Lydia True and husband Harold McClure; sons, Jimmy Nabors and wife, Ann, Rusty Nabors and Billy Nabors and wife, Gena; grandchildren, Belinda Romero, Lonnie True, Chris Nabors, Ariann Nabors, Elizabeth Nabors, Adam Chinea, Amanda Isbell, Clint Isbell, Chrissy Isbell, Jimmy Nabors, Sephanie Nabors and Michael Nabors; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Athena was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Wayne Nabors; one daughter, Lavon Isbell; two brothers and two sisters.
