Barbara Green

Funeral service for Barbara Green, age 79, of Dike, Texas, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Ron Smedley officiating. Interment will follow at Rockdale Cemetery with Shane Green, Shawn Green, Kyle Green, Delbert Jones, Kohlson Ivey, Chris Jones, Cason Jones, and Shawn Hall serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 26, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Green passed away at Rock Creek Health and Rehabilitation on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Barbara Green was born on April 6, 1947, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to the late Roy and Margarette (Enix) Anderson. She married B.C. Green Jr. in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on December 15, 1969. Barbara was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. Barbara enjoyed searching for treasures at garage sales and loved the simple pleasures of visiting with friends and neighbors. Her kind heart, warm smile, and friendly nature touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her children, Shane Green and wife Jessica of Dike, Texas, Shawn Green and wife Rebecca of Dike, Texas, Kevin Green of New York; grandchildren, Katie Ivey and husband Kohlson of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Kyle Green of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Emeree Sappelt of Dike, Texas, Emma Lewis of Apache Junction, Arizona, T.J. Green of Wheeling, West Virgina, Leah Kendle of Dike, Texas; great-grandchildren, Eliza Green, and Evelynn Green of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Paisley and River of Apache Junction, Arizona, Olivia, Wyatt, Nash, and Hudson of Wheeling, West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
