Betty Hatley was born on April 12, 1931, to Alvin and Martha Ann (Ainsworth) Cook in Bryson, Texas. She married Cleveland Hatley Jr. in Point, Texas on November 10, 1948. She was a devoted homemaker, and in her free time, she enjoyed raising cattle, playing VFW bingo, spending time with her family, and did not spare her grandchildren the rod if needed. She was a proud member of the Cross Country Cowboy Church.
Betty is survived by daughters, Tresia Hooten of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Donna Hooten of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Trevia Martin and her husband James, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; her fifteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; fifty great-great-grandchildren; and her sister Marie Lippencott of Canton, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Martha Cook; her husband, Cleveland Hatley Jr.; son, Larry Hatley Jr.; brothers, Dewey Cook, Virgil Cook, James Cook, Gilbert Cook; sisters, Eta Mae Fields, Zella Fields, Ruby Helms, Vera Williams; four grandchildren, Karen Hooten, Eddie Hooten, Weldon Hooten, and Patrick Perkins.
