Betty Brookman Prock

Funeral service for Betty Brookman Prock, age 97, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Prock passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Betty Brookman Prock was born on February 7, 1929, in Hollis, Oklahoma to Charles Otis and Ruby (Kellison) Brookman. She married Hurl W. Prock on January 7, 1949, in Quanah, Texas. After completing two years at Southwestern Oklahoma University, she made her career working as a school secretary. She was a proud member of League Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Wiggins and husband, Buddy of Sulphur Springs, Texas; daughter-in-law, Beverly Prock of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Lisa Stone and husband, Corey of Rockwall, Texas, Lori Owen and husband, Dusty of Royse City, Texas, Bryan Prock and wife, Corinne of Tatum, Texas, Laci Wiggins of Austin, Texas, and Brooke Hiller and husband, Dustin, of Frisco, Texas; great-grandchildren, Colby Stone of Rockwall, Texas, Kade Owen and wife, Madison of Royse City, Texas, Jace Stone of Rockwall, Texas, Kinzi Prock of Tatum, Texas, Blake Owen of Royse City, Texas, Lia Stone of Rockwall, Texas, Ainsley Hiller of Frisco, Texas, Tinley Hiller of Frisco, Texas, and Hayes Prock of Tatum, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hurl W. Prock; son, Brad Prock; brother, Farris Brookman; and sister-in-law, Betty Brookman.
