Billie Joyce Suttle passed away in Sulphur Springs, Texas on March 24, 2022 and is now in the presence of her Savior that she so loving served. Funeral Services for Billie Joyce Suttle of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022   with Rev. Halston Potts and Rev.  Robert Burns officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at South Liberty Cemetery with Bryce Ridling, Johnathon Gammill, Scott Childs, John Larry English, Howard Burchfield and Tim Potts serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Chad Suttle, Brian Ridling, J.W. Ragan, Jackie Jones and John Powell.

Billie Joyce Suttle was born on October 26, 1938 in Pottsboro, Texas to Rosa Lee Fontaine and Captain Clay Cooper. After graduating high school, she married the love of her life, Wiley Ronald Suttle, Sr.  and their 54-year adventure together began. To this union were two sons, Wiley Ronald Suttle, Jr.  and Quinton Suttle.

Affectionately known as “Nana”, she was blessed with four grandchildren Amy Ridling (Brian), Chad Suttle (Brooke), Chelsea Suttle, Shelby Gammill (Johnathon) and eight great-grandchildren, Bryce Ridling, Chance Ridling, Harper Suttle, Beckett Suttle, Jackson Lundell, Jenner Gammill, Jude Gammill and Emma Gammill.

“Miss Joyce” was also known by a multitude of children that she loved and cared for throughout her career in daycare. If you were blessed to know Billie Joyce, you were her friend and considered family for life.  She valued each friendship as a cherished possession. She loved people and she never met a stranger as she strived to minister to every life she touched with a genuine love and concern for their well-being.

She is survived by sons, Wiley Ronald Suttle, Jr. and Quinton Suttle (Debbie), her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Darlene Bourland (sister), nieces and nephews Misty Childs (Scott), John Larry English (Gena) and Stacy Grindstaff (Jeff) and brother and sister- in- law Cecil Don Suttle (Charlene) and great nieces and nephews as well as countless other family members and friends.

Billie Joyce is also survived by her best friend Judy Garrett.

She was preceded in death by husband Wiley Ronald Suttle, Sr., her parents Rosa Lee and John L. English and Captain Clay Cooper, John Michael English (brother), Grandparents Elmer and Julia Fontaine and Mother and Father-In Law Rosetta and Curtis Lucas.

The Suttle Family would like to acknowledge a special “Thank You” to her special friends she affectionally referred to as “The Girls”, Judy Garrett, Edna Potts, Betty Holly and the late Betty Nestor. She was blessed by each of you with every prayer, visit, phone call, hug and conversation.

Memorial donations may be made to South Liberty Baptist Church or the charity of choice.
