Billy Crowson

Memorial service for Billy Crowson, age 60, of Mount Vernon, Texas, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 12, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Brett Moore, Michael Formby, Kade Crowson, Russel Stillwagoner, Jeff McAdams, Dayton Gifford, Dustin Ray, and Alan Screws serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Crowson peacefully passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Billy Crowson was born on July 27, 1965, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to the late Billy and Nell (Lee) Crowson. He married Carol (West) Crowson on December 17, 1983, at Wesley Methodist Church in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Billy dedicated much of his life to agriculture, working as a dairy farmer until 1997. He then became the owner and operator of East Texas Line-X, a business he proudly led until his retirement in October 2023. Billy was a member of the PPVVE Club and was raised in the Methodist faith, which helped shape the values he carried throughout his life.

Billy is survived by his wife, Carol Crowson; son, Billy Blake Crowson and wife, Katiee of Hamilton, Texas; daughter, Brooke Ashley Simon and husband, William Travis of Argyle, Texas; brother, Larry Crowson and wife, Carrie of Sulphur Springs, Texas; mother-in-law, Marjorie West of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and many other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Kathy Crowson.
