A military graveside service, under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition, for Bob Mark, age 74, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Marlin Jones officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Bob Mark passed away at his residence Friday morning, August 31, 2012. He was born in Springfield, Colorado on November 15, 1937, the son of Ray Leslie Mark and Avis Jaunita (Mason) Mark. He married Venita Jones in Hugo, Oklahoma on April 3, 1980; she survives. He was a computer specialist. He served in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam war.
Other survivors include: his mother, Avis Moore of Cooper; daughter, Evelyn Lewis of Dallas ; two stepsons, Skipper Hurley and wife, Fonda, of Sulphur Springs and Jimmy Hurley and wife, Angel, of Spring Branch; sister, Judy Mark of Grant's Pass, Oregon; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Memorial.
