Debra Lynn Chester

A visitation service for Debra Chester, age 62 of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Tuesday July 19, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky. Inurment will be held at a later date. Mrs. Chester passed away on July 14, 2022 at her residence.

Debbie was born on January 22, 1960 in Hopkins County, TX to the late Charles and Bobbye (Jonhstone) Brewer. Over the years she had opened up her home and adopted many children in need. Debra was a kind and generous soul. She worked at Griswold Health Care when she wasn’t spending time with her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her beloved husband of 35 years, Troy Chester.

She is survived by her daughter; Stormie Johnson Sulphur Springs; sons; Josh Meltabarger and wife Brandi of Jarell, Wesley Chester of Sulphur Springs; sister, Melody Jones and husband Paul of Sulphur Springs;  grandchildren; Mickey McDaniel, Jayden Johnson, Jaycee Johnson, Maycee Johnson, Jason Chester, Cody Chester, Haylee Chester; great-granddaughter, Stormy Canup; and numerous adopted children and their families throughout the years.
