Debra Sickles

Funeral services for Debra Sickles, age 50, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 17, 2008, at New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Speed and Rev. Paul Pogue will officiate.

Interment will follow services in the North Hopkins Cemetery, with New Life Recovery group, Jimmy Cannon, Mike Sellers, Mike Garner, Tommy Sanderson, and Mark Robinson serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sickles passed away on Thursday afternoon, February 14, 2008, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bakersville, California, on April 28, 1957, the daughter of Buddy Joe and Winnie Lou Frizzell Garrett. She married Danny Franklin Sickles, in Sulphur Springs, on July 24, 1992. He survives.

Mrs. Sickles was a homemaker and a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church.

Other survivors include: six sons, Wynn Layton of White Oak, Canyon Sickles of Brashear, Jason Sickles of Dallas, Jacob Sickles of Wilmington, North Carolina, J.J. Sickles of Jackson, Mississippi, and Justin Sickles of Flora, Mississippi; a brother, Stevie Garrett of Dalals; two sisters, Berneda Horner of Sulphur Springs and Nancy Garrett of Dallas; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Cathy Reed.
