Don Burton

Funeral service for Don Burton, age 85, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas with Bro. Kenneth Weston officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Jimmy Weston, Steve Weston, Jeff Tucker, Jerry Burton, Mike Garrison, and Jordan Weston serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Burton passed away at Carriage House Manor on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

Donald Mack Burton was born in the unincorporated community of Chockie in Atoka County, Oklahoma to John Henry and Velma Jean (McClendon) Burton. He married Patsy Joyce Garrison in Arlington, Texas in October, 1964. Don obtained an Associate’s Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and was the owner of Burton’s Family Restaurant.

Don is survived by his wife, Patsy Burton of Sulphur Springs, Texas; son, Jimmy Weston (Lisa) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son, Steve Weston (Leiann) of Canton, Texas; daughter, Donna Tucker (Jeff) of Crowley, Texas; son, Jerry Burton (Shelley) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; beloved sister-in-law, Nancy Garrison, and endeared nephew, Mike Garrison (Dena), special niece, Tammy Guillot (Greg) and nephew Robbie Davis; grandchildren, Shannon Smith (Zach), Krista Branch (Michael), Kenneth Weston (Andrea), Dana Mitchell (John), Jordan Weston (Courtney), Jason Weston (Kaci), Stevi Weston, Haley Saffell, Seth Weston (Shawnna), Brianna Tucker, Lexie Tucker, Shaden Burton (Alli), Shaddox Burton, Austin Garrison (Katie), and Jena Brady (Chris); and eighteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Velma Jean Burton and brother, John Burton.
