Dorthy Ross

A graveside service will be conducted for Dorthy Ross, 84, of Sulphur Springs, at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Old Tarrant Cemetery, with Chapin Ross officiating. Visitation will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, Saturday, December 10, 2011, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Dorthy Ross passed away Wednesday evening, December 7, 2011, at Rock Creek Nursing Home. She was born in Sulphur Springs, August 21, 1927, the daughter of Phillip Elliot Ross and Amy Florence (Stinson) Ross. She was a retired farmer and she was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include: nieces, Mikie Stringer and husband Mike, Pat Massingill and husband Richard, Jane Smith and husband Mitch, all of Garland, Martha Grimaldo and husband Emanuel of Las Vegas and nephew, Jerry Gillispie and wife Vicky of Garland. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Cross and Vasta Gillispie and two brothers, Herschel Ross and Merrell Ross.
