Doug "Dougie" Thompson

Graveside service for Doug “Dougie” Thompson, age 71, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Restlawn Memorial Park in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Thompson passed away at his residence on Monday, November 24, 2025.

Doug was born on December 19, 1953, in Blackfoot, Idaho to Ralph E. and Eldie Laree (Sundstrom) Thompson. He was married to Lisa Thompson. Mr. Thompson was retired from working for UPS.

Doug Thompson is survived by his wife, Lisa Thompson; daughters, Jessica Hayes and Serena Sutton; son, Eric Hayes and his wife, Lizzy; grandchildren, Riley Hayes, Willow Hayes, Alex Sutton, Dylan Beasley, Zoe Harbison, Avery Cloud, and Kari Sutton; sister, Sharon Wall and her husband Bill; and brother, David Thompson and his wife Grace.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Eldie Thompson and brothers, Ralph Thompson and Elden Thompson.
