Doyle Williams

A military graveside service for Doyle Williams, age 85, of Frisco, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted, under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Restlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Darrell McCauley will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Smith, Jared smith, Steve Williams, Jerry Don Wilhite, Glenn Wilhite and Steve Wilhite. Visitation will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park one hour before the service (10:00 a.m.).
Doyle Williams passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Carrollton, Sunday, May 20, 2012. He was born in Como on June 26, 1926, the son of Thomas Lester Williams and Lois Gretchen (Humphrey) Williams. He married Ellamaye Gough in Klondike on May 14, 1949. She preceded him in death in 2008. He was a retired mechanic for ABF Freight Systems and a member of Elevate Life Church in Frisco and League Street Church of Christ in Sulphur Springs. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include: son, Norman Williams and wife, Joyce, of Kaufman; daughter Anna Smith and husband, David, of Frisco; sister, Bobbie Wilhite of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Steve Williams and wife, Ryajo, Aaron Smith and wife, Torie, Jared Smith and Brittany Smith; great-grandchildren, Loren Williams, Brianna Williams, Dustin Williams, Ramon Williams and Brayden Smith. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to League Street Church of Christ and/or Boles Children's Home.
