Edith Blanks

Funeral services for Edith Marie Blanks, 87, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2011. Interment will follow at City Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time (9:00 a.m.).
Edith Marie Blanks passed away at the Heart Hospital in Plano, Monday, October 3, 2011. She was born June 10, 1924 in Hedley, the daughter of Stanley Martin Conner and Roxie (Wyninegar) Conner. She married Charles Blanks in Amarillo . He preceded her in death. Mrs. Blanks was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 8560.
Survivors include: son, Joe Blanks of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Michael Blanks, Edi Wood and Chad Lee Wood and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy Blanks and Donnie Wood and one brother, Gilbert Conner.
