Edna Sawyer

Graveside services for Edna Sawyer, age 93, of Sulphur Springs, have been set for 2:30PM Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Sid, Seth, and Shane Sawyer officiating. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park at 2:00PM on Sunday October 14, 2012 prior to the service.


Edna Sawyer was born in Winters, Texas, on May 12, 1919, the daughter of William Baines and Frances Ada Guy Worthington. She married Earl Davis Sawyer, in Winters, on February 1, 1936. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.


Survivors include, daughter-in-law, Gena Sawyer; grandchildren, Sidney Layton Sawyer, Seth Ren Sawyer, Shane Eric Sawyer; great grandchildren, Colby Parker Sawyer, Sara Beth Sawyer, Rebecca Quinn Sawyer, Ryder Davis Sawyer, Orin Macaiah Sawyer, Madelyn Tess Sawyer, Kylie Deane Sawyer. She was preceded in death by son, Layton Sawyer; three brothers, Wallace Worthington, Gaylon Worthington, Leon Worthington; sister, Polly Cheek.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab Activity Fund.
