Funeral services for Elma Crouch, age 99, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 22, 2010, with Shane Carrington officiating. Interment will follow at Reilly Springs Cemetery, with James McClintock, Zachery Crouch, Michael Lawrence, Danny Lawrence, Chad Jones and Jeremy Jones serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Elma Crouch passed away Saturday morning, November 20, 2010 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Stephens County, on October 5, 1911, the daughter of Allen Ben Chancellor and Alice Johnson Chancellor. She married T. E. Crouch in Ennis on October 5, 1929. He preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Crouch was a retired accountant and a member of Southside Church of Christ.
Survivors include: daughter, Joyce McDonald of Yantis; son, Melvin Crouch and wife Barbara of Malakoff; sister, Edith Hutchins of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Johnnie Chancellor of Corsicana; grandchildren, Tammy Crouch McClintock, Bobby McDonald, Judy McDonald Jones, Jimmy Crouch and Jan McDonald Lawrence; ten great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Pete McDonald; four brothers, Abe Chancellor, Houston Chancellor, Bob Chancellor and Bennie Chancellor and one great-grandson, Jason Lawrence.
