Funeral services for Eunice Lorraine Mitchell, 84, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Spence Chapel in First Baptist Church, with Rev. Fred Lewis and Rev. Tommy Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Mahoney Cemetery, with Kyle Burke, Mike Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, Mickey Ferguson, Paul Ferguson and Jerry Don Voss serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Eunice Lorraine Mitchell passed away at Carriage House Manor Friday morning, October 14, 2011 . She was born in Sulphur Springs August 14, 1927, the daughter of Chester Hoover and Ethel Holland. She married George H. Mitchell in Dallas on May 1, 1947; he survives. She was a retired auditor for the City of Dallas and a member of First Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Pam Silva of Ft. Worth and Debbie Burke and husband Robert of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Annie Noel Wildes and husband Col. James Wildes, II and Kyle Burke and great-grandson, James Wildes III and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the Mahoney Cemetery Association.
