Floy Elmore

Funeral service for Floy Elmore, age 98, of Sulphur Bluff, Texas, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Grace Worship Center in Cooper, Texas, with Bro. Michael Stone, Bro. Chad Fleming and Bro. Danny Beard officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Bluff Cemetery with Shayden Griner, Allen Elmore, Brandon Fleming, Daniel Elmore, Taylor Self and Ty Wetzel serving as pallbearers and Clifton Gamblin, Trey Wetzel, and Ryelee Elmore serving as Honorary Pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Elmore passed away at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Floy was born in Charleston, Texas to Ed and Willie Moore Sneed on January 7, 1928. She married Clifton Lee Elmore at the age of 18 on February 23, 1946 in Cooper, TX. Out of this beautiful marriage came three daughters and three sons in eight years. When they started coming in twos; it was time to call it quits. Floy was a mother, wife, friend to many, Ma to all, and faithful saint. She loved Jesus and loved taking care of people. She loved gardening and tending to her flowers.

Floy is survived by her children, Mickie Lunsford and, husband Billy of Sulphur Bluff, Joe Elmore of Dike, Nell Fleming and husband, Charles of Paris, Dan Elmore of Sulphur Bluff, Kay Williams of Sulphur Bluff, and Ray Elmore and wife, Jackie of Sulphur Bluff; grandchildren: Sharron Wetzel and husband, Johnny of Winnsboro, Brandon Fleming and wife, Jamie of Winnsboro, Allen Elmore of Dike, Sherry Self and husband, Joe Bob of Sulphur Bluff, Chad Fleming and wife, Sandye of Paris, Angela Gamblin of Sulphur Springs, Jennifer Griner of Pickton, Daniel Elmore and, wife Danielle of Sulphur Bluff, Sarah Bench and husband, Randy of Sulphur Springs; great grandchildren, Trey Wetzel of Nacogdoches, Ty Wetzel of Winnsboro, Ashlyn Thompson and husband, Logan of Paris, Alec Fleming of Paris, Taylor Self of Sulphur Bluff, Karlie Lane and husband, Ryan of Sulphur Bluff, Brailye Garcia and husband, Alan of Paris, Ashton Fleming and wife, Brooke of Tyler, Mason Fleming of Paris, Oaklye Fleming of Paris, Clifton Gamblin and Caleigh Gamblin of Sulphur Springs, Shayden Griner of Pickton, Ryelee Elmore of Sulphur Springs, Alyssa and Kade Elmore of Sulphur Bluff; step great grandchildren, Jennifer Watson of Como, Elizabeth Walker and husband, Eddie of Sulphur Springs, Meredith and Jackson Bench of Sulphur Springs; great-great grandchildren: Rylie and Lainie Lane of Sulphur Bluff, and Case Garcia of Paris, and eight step great-great grandchildren.

Floy was proceeded in death by her husband, Clifton; great grandchildren, Tannia Self, Shad Griner, and Seth Griner.
