George Harris

George Benjamin Harris , age 77 of Sulphur Springs passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Como, TX on April 22, 1934, the son of J.C. and Lola Fay Cannon Harris. He married Wilma Jean Minty in Cooper, TX on October 15, 1970. She preceded him in death earlier this year.
He was a retired carpenter and member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: daughter, Debbie Harris of Sulphur Springs; sister, Wanda Simpson of Levelland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents; son, Clay George Harris; sister, Lillie Jewel Matthews and brother, L.J. Harris.
