Cooper, TX- With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Glenda Rainelle Roberts, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on March 12, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on June 12, 1949, in Garland, Texas, Glenda was a beacon of warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy as rich and vibrant as the garden she so lovingly tended.

Glenda was the cherished daughter of the late Glen Ray and Dorothy Steele. Her life was deeply rooted in the love that her parents instilled in her, a love that she carried forward and shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Larry Roberts Sr., whom she married on March 24, 1970. Together, they cultivated a home filled with laughter, love, and the joyful chaos of a large family. She is also preceded in death by her son Joshua Roberts and one brother, David Steele.

Glenda was the devoted mother of Robert Finney (Debbie), Michelle Roberts, Larry Roberts Jr. (Melissa), Laura Schambach (Kenneth), Jason Roberts, and Nathan Roberts (Latisha). Her nurturing spirit and steadfast support shaped the lives of her children, who were the center of her universe. She was also the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and fulfillment. A woman of many talents and passions, Glenda found solace in cross-stitching and the written word. She maintained a vast network of pen pals across the globe, sharing stories and friendships through her heartfelt letters. Her love for books was evident in her expansive collection, reflecting her curious mind and insatiable thirst for knowledge. Glenda also cherished her collection of baby dolls, each one a testament to her ability to find beauty and joy in the simple things. Glenda's green thumb was legendary; she could coax life from the most reluctant of plants, turning her garden into a paradise of color and fragrance. Her love of gardening was a metaphor for the way she lived her life: nurturing, patient, and always ready to celebrate the beauty of the world.

She is survived by her loving siblings, Kenneth Steele, Ben Steele, and Donald Steele, who shared her journey from childhood through life’s many milestones.

Glenda leaves behind a family who will continue to honor her memory by embracing the values she held dear and cherishing the moments they shared. Though she has left this earthly realm, Glenda’s spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived, a testament to the impact one person can have on the world. Glenda Rainelle Roberts will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as she lives on in the memories and hearts of all who loved her.
