Funeral services for Glenn Reppond, age 79, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2011 with Tommy Johnston officiating. Military graveside services, under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition, will follow at Mt. Sterling Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Frazier, Tyler Higginbotham, Terry Flora, Cody Flora, Donald Davis, Bennie Davis, Winston Perkins and Mike Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be the Busy Men's Bible Class at First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Glenn Reppond passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 12, 2011 at Dubuis Hospital of Paris. He was born in Sulphur Springs on October 12, 1931, the son of Bennie Reppond and Esther (Johnson) Reppond. He married Gladys Fay Followell in Brownfield on March 25, 1956; she survives. He was the retired owner of a service station and day care center. He was a member of First Baptist Church and he served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Carla Frazier and husband Rick, Diana Reppond and Glenda Flora and husband Terry, all of Sulphur Springs; sister, Ineta Noel of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Tyler Higginbotham, Cody Flora and Stacey McBride and husband Delton. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Estellene Horton and Syble Perrin. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
