Gunnar Davis Gatlin

Gunnar Davis Gatlin, age 26, of Naples, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Gunnar was born in Dallas, Texas on August 4, 1995 to John Davis Gatlin, II, and Tamara Wilson Gatlin. Gunnar worked as a truck driver and loved off-roading and mudding in his Jeep or working on anything he could get his hands on. He was outgoing, funny, and caring and will be forever missed by this family he leaves behind.

He is survived by his father, John Gatlin, II of Naples; mother, Tamara “Tammy” Gatlin and her husband, Chris Gentry of Sulphur Springs; sisters, Heaven Butler, and husband, R.J. of Mineola, Darcy Parks and spouse Patricia Parks of San Antonio; grandparents; John Gatlin and Janis Gatlin of Como; nephew, Sawyer Kinsey of Mineola; and his beloved dog, Rex the Wonderdog.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Gunnar’s memory to the Brain Injury Association of America, or a local rehabilitation and treatment facility or charity.
