A memorial service will be conducted for Helen Ruth Wood Cooper, age 66, of
Sulphur Springs, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2011, with Brother David Lindsey officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Helen Ruth Wood Cooper passed away Friday evening, June 3, 2011 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Terrell on October 8, 1944, the daughter of Richard Franklin Wood and Johnnie Bell Ledbetter Wood. She was a retired cashier/hostess at TaMolly's Restaurant and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: two daughters, Debra Gail Kenney and husband Kim of Yantis, Shanie Michelle Henley and husband Steve of Commerce; son, Jimmy "Jimbo" Cooper II and wife Christina of Emory; brother, Jackie Glenn Wood and wife Dorothy of Wylie; stepmother, Mavon Wood; grandchildren, Shane Michael Cooper, Brittney Kim Kenney, Jacob Casson Cooper and Jace Dane Cooper and great-grandchildren, Dillon Cooper, Daniel Pilgrim, Peyton Iberra and Kaiden Iberra. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Sheena Gail Sims and brother, James Richard Wood.
Memorials may be made to Hospice at Memorial.
