A graveside service for Helen Juanita Rice Moyle, 93, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011, at Tidwell Cemetery on Hwy. 34, approximately ten miles north of Greenville. Officiating will be Randy Reed. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Friday, October 7, 2011, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Helen Juanita Rice Moyle passed away at Dubuis Hospital of Paris Wednesday afternoon, October 5, 2011, with her family, Gus and Tona Sue Hudson, great-niece, Amy Northcutt, great-great nephew, Hudson Northcutt,by her side. She was born in White Rock, Texas, July 3, 1918, the seventh daughter of seven girls of Layton M. Rice and Lizzie Emma (Claiborne) Rice. She married Philip Richard Moyle in Greenville on June 17, 1958. He preceded her in death in 1979. She graduated from The Teachers Training College in Commerce, Texas. She was a retired teacher, having taught 30 years in Newsome and Donna, Texas. She was a devout Christian and a member of League Street Church of Christ. Helen loved the Lord and cherished her family and friends.
Survivors include: one niece, Tona Sue Hudson and husband Gus of Sulphur
Springs; great-nephew, Frank Hudson of Sachse, Texas and three nephews, Eulus A. Parker of Ben Wheeler, Lloyd E. Giles and wife Doris of Emory and Bob Giles and wife Sandy of Canton and Vickie Giles of Greenville and other great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Baby Rice, Kathryn Parker, Rogene Jordan, Emma Rice, Ouida Giles and Latonia Johnson and a nephew, Charles Giles.
Memorials may be made to the Tidwell Cemetery Association, 1400 Alpine St. Greenville, Texas 75402 and/or the League Street Church of Christ, Sulphur Springs.
