J. D. Whitworth Jr.

A private graveside service for Joe Dan Whitworth Jr, age 72 of College Station, Texas, will be held at Yantis Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Sheppard officiating. Mr. Whitworth passed away on July 8, 2023.

Joe Dan was born on October 17, 1950 in Dallas, Texas to Joe Dan Whitworth Sr. and Doris (Lindley) Whitworth. He accepted Christ as a young boy and was baptized into the Baptist Church. He has his Master’s Degree in Business as well as his Real Estate license and private pilot’s license. Joe Dan worked at Ace Hardware as a store worker and salesman.

He is survived by his mother, Doris; sister, Paula Sheppard and her husband, Dr. Wayne Sheppard; brother, Ronald Whitworth and his wife, Linda Whitworth; nephews, Mark Sheppard, Douglas Sheppard and Justin Whitworth.

Joe Dan was preceded in death by his father.
