Funeral services for Jackie Dean Cook, of Como will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2011, with Rev. Eldon Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery, with Jamison McCarroll, Rob Sapko, Chris Trout, Jason Brown, Mike Phillips and Chris Albert serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Jackie Dean Cook passed away Friday morning , October 21, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Como, May 8, 1937, the son of Dial Cook and Maydean (Martin) Cook. He married Melanie Ruth Groves in Sulphur Springs, February 19, 2005; she survives. He was a retired manager of mechanics at Exxon. He was a member of Assembly of God Church and he served in the United States Navy.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Jamie McCarroll, Kim Freeman both of Mesquite, Jackie Sapko of Springfield, Missouri and Carmen Trout of Sulphur Springs; son, Chris Trout of Quinlan; grandchildren, Kristina Freeman, Sarah Poer, Carsten Sapko, Colten Sapko, Aiden McCarroll, Jaxon Degen, Tayah Bell, Landen Trout and Harleigh Trout and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Calvin Cook and brother, James Cook.
