Funeral services for James Hendricks, age 75, of Como, will be conducted at Greenpond Missionary Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., Monday April 25, 2011, with Rev. Lloyd Cashion officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2011 at Ridgeview Cemetery in McKinney. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony McLain, Randy Powell, Robby Powell, Mike Inge, Scotty Hendricks, Roger Hendricks and Barry Hendricks. Honorary pallbearers will be the Greenpond Baptist Church Men's Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

James Hendricks passed away at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Thursday, April 21, 2011. He was born in Anna, on August 27, 1935, the son of Leslie Washington Hendricks and Alta Lona (Aston) Hendricks. He married Bobbie Jean McLain in Durrant, Oklahoma on July 16, 1955; she survives. Mr. Hendricks was a retired welder and a member of Greenpond Missionary Baptist Chruch.

Other survivors include: two sons, David (Cindy) Hendricks of Anna and Tom (Patty) Hendricks of Greenpond; two brothers, Charles (Millie) Hendricks of Garland and Jackie (Sue) Hendricks of Princeton; three sisters, Jenna Inge of Garland, Elaine Carroll of Allen and Nelda Hollar of Dallas; grandchildren, Marc Hendricks, D. J. Hendricks, Jeff Hendricks, Jessica Hendricks, Beau Hargrove and Amber Hargrove and three great-grandchildren, Colby Hendricks, Marissa Hendricks and Payton Hendricks. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Danny Lynn Hendricks and three brothers, Jerry Hendricks, Kenneth Hendricks and Nolan Hendricks.
