James Hooten

Graveside services for James Hooten, age 74, of Sulphur Springs will be held at Mt. Sterling Cemetery, at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2008, with Bro. Tommy Hall officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled.

James Hooten passed away Thursday morning, May 29, 2008, at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab. He was born in Sulphur Springs, on June 7, 1933, the son of Earl and Leota Dickey Hooten. Mr. Hooten was a retired produce manager.

Survivors include: daughter, Cori Power, of Lewisville, Shannon Gammel, of Waco, and Leota Hooten, of Dallas; son Ernest Hooten, of McKinney; brother, William Byrd Hooten, of Sulphur Springs; sister, Mattie Lee Hill, of Sulphur Springs.
