James "Jim" Roy Gulledge

Funeral service for James “Jim” Roy Gulledge, age 81, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Bossier City, Louisiana, with Rev. A.J. Billings and Rev. Bobby Ganaway officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Greenpond Cemetery in Como, Texas, with Kaleb Ganaway, Kyle Ganaway, Kolby Ganaway, Sage Ganaway, Bayton Ganaway, Jake Gulledge, and Kyle Ganaway II serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Bossier City, Louisiana. Mr. Gulledge passed away at Dyersburg Regional Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee, on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Jim Gulledge was born on April 4, 1945, to Leroy and Lorene (Carpenter) Gulledge in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He served as a proud Marine in Vietnam. He married Molly Coker on June 29, 1968. He was a dental technician, pastor, and full-time missionary, serving with Molly in their “HELP” ministry (Helping Evangelize Little People). His love for his friends and family was only exceeded by his love for Christ.

Jim is survived by his son, Mike Gulledge and wife Donna; son-in-law, Bobby Ganaway; grandchildren, Kaleb Ganaway, Kyle Ganaway, Kolby Ganaway, Jake Gulledge, Shelby Oatsvall; sisters, Sue Crawford of Como, Texas, Jone Hooper of Haughton, Louisiana, Bobbie Lofland, of Quitman, Texas; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Lorene Gulledge; loving wife, Molly Gulledge; daughter, Julia Ganaway; sisters, Merlene Teer and Ann Harris; grandson, Zac Gulledge; and brothers-in-law, Leon Crawford and Joe Lofland.
