A memorial service for James Perego, age 89, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at the Kindgom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses, at 2:30 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2012.
James Perego passed away Sunday evening, October 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Jasper on May 27, 1923, the son of Benjamin Franklin Perego and Catheryn (Garcia) Perego. He married Opal Wynona Galbreath on September 9, 1951; she survives. He was a manager of True Value Hardware Store.
Other survivors include: son, Allen Ray Perry of Nacadoches; daughter, Courtney Perego Hitt and husband, Chad; grandchildren, Jackie, Don, Howard, Bonnie, Donnie, Dean, Gayla, Gregory, Ginnie, Jonathon Swindell, Gerald, Vicky Jacobie, Desirae and Miss Lilah Belle; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Tammi, Nathan Crystal, Harley, Magan, Christopher, Brittany, Joshua, Ashley, Casey Brodie, Ashley, Destiny, Zachary, Skylar and Bronson and great-great-grandchildren, Jayde, Drayke, Leena, Marley, Molly, Kayla and Eliana. He was preceded in death by brother, Frank Perego and daughter, Virginia Lee Kerr.
