Funeral service for Charles and Janice Craig, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at League Street Church of Christ with Jerry Savage officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr & Mrs. Craig passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, in Sulphur Springs.
Janice was born on March 1, 1935 in Grand Saline, TC to Hoyt P. and Essie (Kirby) Gideon. She married Charles Ray Craig on August 2, 2003 in Sulphur Springs. Janice retired from Guaranty Bond Bank. She was also a mother and homemaker. She loved to read, play scrabble, do crosswords, played Bridge with the ladies but mostly to travel with Charles. Janice was a member of League Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Keith Carter and wife, Debbie of Greenville, Indiana, Bret Carter of Thornton, Texas, Pamela Carter of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Chance Eppars, Reese Eppars, Emma Carter. Also surviving are the children of Charles, Brad Craig and wife, Jan, Karri Isaac, Amy Dennis and husband, John Paul and their children, Benjamin Craig, Katlyn Kuyt and Lauren Smith.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; brothers, Roneil Gideon, Hoyt Wayne Gideon, Jim Gideon, Mike Gideon.
