Jerri Cross

Graveside service for Jerri Cross, age 81, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 20 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Bro. Jim Moore officiating and Shane Darlin, Eldon Reynolds, David Townsend, Stanley Townsend, Russell Rollins and Josh Hudson serving as honorary pallbearers.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M.  on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.  Mrs. Cross passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at her home.

Geraldine “Jerri” Rollins Cross was born on May 16, 1939 in Miller Grove to Frank Rollins and Stella (Brown) Rollins.  She married W.E. Cross.  She worked for both Rockwell International and J.B. Weld.  Jerri was a member of First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs.

She is survived by her husband, W.E.; son, Robert D Smithers; daughters, Vickie L Smithers and partner, Kay Hudson, Debbie Smithers Darlin; grandchildren, Letha Darlin Reynolds (Eldon), Shane Darlin (Mia), Breanna Koon, Brilynn Hudson, Josh Hudson; fourteen great grandchildren; sisters, Doris Farris, Wanela Townsend, Dollie Barboza.

Jerri was preceded in death by her parents; son, Cory Smithers; brother, Joe Rollins
