Jimmy Duncan was born May 21, 1948 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Clovis D. Duncan and Doris E. Duncan. He graduated from Garland High School and started working for Self Plumbing. He married the late Sandra Frey and was blessed with a son, Jerry. After their divorce, he and Jerry came to live with his parents in Flora. He went to work for Paul Blount Air Conditioning and met Millie Hathcoat. They married in 1974 and were blessed with a daughter, Naja. He went into business for himself and during his 30+ years he worked very hard to be the best and helped others to become plumbers. After retiring, he became the courthouse maintenance man for many years. Jimmy was a dedicated committeeman for the Connor Cemetery Association.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Millie Duncan; son, Jerry Duncan (Cara); daughter, Naja Brown (Jeffery); grandchildren, Katelyn Morgan, Quincie Duncan, McKenna Duncan, Kaleb Brown, Chelsea Mayes, Mardi Fite, Harrison Fite; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Jo, Jhettson, Ellie, Addie, Karter, Paxton, Hazel Pearl; brother, Larry Duncan (Randy); sister, Brenda Adcock (Jack); aunt, Kay Pursley; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jeannie Cullins; grandparents, George and Opal Duncan, Bethel and Jessie Magness; aunts, Sue Goin, Opal Faye Duncan, Juanita Sandifeer, Vivian “Pearl” Toumbs; uncles, Bob Pursley, Raymond Duncan, Cecil “Snooks” Duncan; cousins, A.G., Ricky Joe, Linda, Michael, Gary, Ronny, Harlon, Stacy; chosen brothers, Jerry Tramel, Bill Thomas and Daniel Eppars; and his fur babies, Guy and Preslea.
