Joe was born on August 29, 1977, in Dallas, Texas, to David Alvin Schumacher and Kathryn Rebecca (Bezy) Schumacher. Joe was deeply loved and adored by his family and friends. His sense of humor was a defining part of his charm, and he would do almost anything to make someone laugh. He was endlessly entertaining, warm, and fun to be around, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Known to many as "Mid Century Joe", Joe turned his passion for design into a thriving career. He opened a modest vintage clothing and mid-century furnishings store in the Fair Park area, which later grew into Revolve Modern, a large mid-century art and furnishings store in the Dallas Design District. He loved searching online, at thrift stores, and at auctions for unique mid-century pieces. He did exceptional restoration work and brought new life and beauty to everything he touched.

Joe also worked for Gulfstream Aerospace, where he built, repaired, and detailed custom interiors for private jets and other aircraft. His craftsmanship was flawless, and he was frequently called upon for his ability to create innovative solutions to complex fit-and-finish challenges.

In addition to his professional talents, Joe was an exceptionally gifted, self-taught painter and pianist. His artwork, often abstract, reflected his creativity, depth, and unique perspective on the world.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, David Alvin Schumacher and his sister, Kathryn Lynn Schumacher.

He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Rebecca Oliphant; his stepfather, Ron Oliphant; his brothers, Daniel Schumacher of Sidney, Maine, and James Schumacher of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and his nephews and niece, Nicholas and Jackson Schumacher of Sidney, Maine, and Logan and Kaylee Schumacher of Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Joe’s creativity, humor, and kindness will be greatly missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
