Joyce Goldapp Cook of Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the age of 83.

A woman of diverse talents and independent spirit, Joyce found joy in many pursuits. She was an avid reader, and her creative passions shone through her dedication to arts and crafts, music, and sewing. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family. They will forever cherish the memory of her delicious cooking and, perhaps most uniquely, her wicked sense of humor.
She is survived by a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts; son, Clay Cook and his wife, Jackie; daughter, Jill Dietze and her husband, Jason; grandchildren, Avery Wilson, Sidney Cozby, Peyton Millsap, Luke Dietze, and Benjamin Cook; great-grandchildren, Forrest and Isla Wilson; brother-in-law, Ray Tolson; nephews, Steve Tolson and his wife Brenda, and Stan Tolson and his wife Melissa; grand-nieces, Meredith, Courtney, Brooke, and Paige.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Juanita Goldapp; her sister, Jane Tolson; and her beloved daughter, Lisa Minnick.
The family will hold a Private Family Service for Joyce on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 23rd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Grace Methodist Church Building Fund (PO Box 132, Sulphur Springs, TX 75483).
