Joyce Shelton

A memorial service for Joyce Udel Shelton, 93, of Coppell, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011. There will be no formal visitation.
Joyce Udel Shelton went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2011 at Sandy Lake Rehab. in Coppell, Texas. She was born in Hopkins County to John Lafayette and Lela Coppedge Hamrick on June 27, 1918. She was a graduate of Sulphur Bluff High School and later worked in sales in Dallas. She was the loving mother of James D. Shelton and wife Peggy of Sulphur Springs, Gloria Shelton of Katy, Texas and Sharon Dresh of Coppell, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chris Shelton of Mt. Pleasant, Angela Bradford of Longview, Nichole Rosamond of Sulphur Springs, Will Dresh of College Station, Donna Taylor of Austin and Kent Rich of Joplin, Missouri and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ottis, Lotus and Truitt Hamrick.
Joyce was loved by all who knew her and will be missed terribly. She loved the Coppell First Baptist and Senior Center where she was a member.
