Junior Townsend

A visitation for Junior Townsend of Brashear will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2012.
Junior Townsend passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his son's residence in Cooper. He was born in Hopkins County May 24, 1938; the son of Garland Townsend and Carrie (Mahand) Townsend. He was a retired truck driver. He served in the Army National Guard, 49th Division Armory, for nine and a half years.
Survivors include: daughter, Susan Kelty of Sulphur Springs; four sons, Marty Townsend and wife, Sharon, of Coke; David Townsend and wife, Mary, of Sulphur Springs, Stanley Townsend and wife, Prissy, of Cooper and Rickey Townsend and wife, Amy, of Cumby; sister, Linda Gail Guimarin of Ft. Worth; brother, Donnie Townsend of Nelta; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
