Memorial services for Ken Ragan, age 62, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with John Eastland and Tommy Panter officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Ken Ragan passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Sulphur Springs, September 1, 1947, the son of Milford Ray and Mary Florene Chezem Ragan. He married Jennie Sartain on March 22, 1975 in Sulphur Springs. She survives. Mr. Ragan was a retired Regional Law Enforcement Officer over the Houston Region of Texas Parks and Wildlife. He was a member of the League Street Church of Christ and served in the United States Army in Vietnam and served in the United States Army Reserves in Iraq.
Other survivors include: sons, Drs. Dustin and Gwen Ragan, of St. Louis and Will Ragan, of Houston; and mother, Mary Ragan.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1999.
