L. Holder

November 22, 1913 — April 26, 2010

A Military Graveside Service, under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition, will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at City Cemetery, with Rev. Brian Bosworth officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
L. D. Holder passed away Monday evening, April 26, 2010 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hopkins County on November 22, 1913, the son of Jess and Siddie Holder. He married Bobbie Rea Wesson in Texarkana on May 27, 1950; she survives. Mr. Holder was a retired owner of a construction business. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and he was a 32nd degree Mason and a former grand mason. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Other survivors include: son, Larry Wallace and wife, Cathy, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren Carrie Crowson and husband, Larry, Mark Wallace and wife, Michelle, Amber Essary and husband, Doug, Brandon Massey and wife, Jessica and great-grandchildren, Kaci and Kade Crowson, Kirstie and Kendall Wallace and Lauren Essary. He was preceded in death by son, Ronny Holder; brother, Everett Holder and two sisters, Florence Lawson and Ruby Johnston. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
