Newman Larry McElvy

Newman was born on February 8, 1942 in Brashear, Texas to Newman and Vallie (Ferguson) McElvy. He married Ann Boggs on November 27, 1963 in Greenville, Texas. In 1975 Larry graduated from East Texas University. Larry worked as an IT Manager for Raytheon. He was a fixer of broken things. One of his favorite things to do was going to garage sale to buy broken items, to then fix them. Larry was always working on his John Deer tractor.

He survived by his wife, Lou Ann; son, Brian McElvy; daughter, Jana McElvy; brother, Eddie McElvy and wife, Faith.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law, Mindy Nelson and her husband, Dickie Nelson.

Larry was all about taking care of his family and keeping them happy. He will leave a very empty place in all of our lives. Larry will always be in our hearts. We love him very much. He will be missed by all.
