Lavenia Mobley

Private funeral service for Lavenia Mobley, age 88, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darel Roach officiating.  Interment will take place at Ridgeway Cemetery with Tommy Mobley, Eric Jackson, Bryan Holt, Billy Logsdon, Mason Virgel, Richard Holt and Russell Melton serving as pallbearers and Dean Mobley, Glenn Mobley, Billy Scott, and Doug Doss as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Thursday April 30, 2020. Mrs. Mobley passed away on April 28, 2020 at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, TX.

Lavenia was born on April 23, 1932 in Lakeview, TX to F.P. and Lucille Stewart. She married Wayne Mobley in Cumby, TX on October 23, 1948. She worked as a housekeeper at the Hopkins County Memorial Hospital and was a member at the Peerless Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter, Linda Jackson; son, Billy Mobley and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Kae Mobley, Tommy Mobley and wife, Casi; and Eric Jackson and wife, Cady; great grandchildren, Averi Mobley, Jamison Mobley, and Tucker Jackson; sisters in law, Gloria Don Holt, Vickie Sims, and Joyce Bledsoe.

Lavenia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Barbara Large and Sue Mason.
