Leona Yankey

Funeral services for Aunt Leona Yankey, age 86, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2012, with Rev. Tommy Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Rockdale Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
Aunt Leona Yankey passed away at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Tuesday evening, December 25, 2012. She was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma on June 24, 1926, the daughter of James Wade and Rosie May (Moore) Wade. She married Joseph Leo Yankey in Dallas on October 20, 1942. He preceded her in death in 2009. She was a retired technician from Texas Instruments and she was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, and beloved Jacklyn and kitty babies.
