Funeral services for Linda Joyce Wilemon Cowser, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2010 with Bro. Charles Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery with Jerry Dodd, Rex Wilemon, Robert Cook, A.L. Brown, Charles Cromer, and Earl Martin serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Linda Joyce Wilemon Cowser passed away Monday afternoon, September 27, 2010 at Carriage House Manor. She was born in Hopkins County, on August 25, 1938, the daughter of R. T. Wilemon and Ruby Lee (Dodd) Wilemon. She married Phillip Cowser in Sulphur Springs on October 15, 1960. He preceded her in death in 1995. Mrs. Cowser was a retired administrative professional and she was a member of Pine Hill Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Russell Cowser and wife, Elizabeth Hayden, of Dallas, Bart Cowser and wife, Pamela, of Garland; sister, Sherry Cook and husband, Robert; brother, Rex Wilemon and wife, Helen; sister-in-law, Merida Mabe and husband, Roger, all of Sulphur Springs. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by brother, Thomas Wade Wilemon. Memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice of Greenville.
