A military graveside service, under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition, for Linden Myers, age 87, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Black Oak Cemetery. Rev. Larry Jordan will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Wright, Jason Earhart, Dean Earhart, Charlie Beliew, J. D. Sheffield and Durwood Smith. There will be no formal visitation; however, Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home will remain open until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2008.
Linden Myers passed away at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, Saturday evening, May 31, 2008. He was born in the Brinker Community, on May 21, 1921. He married Margaline Earhart, in Como, in 1945. She preceded him in death in 1990. Mr. Myers was a retired fork lift operator, having worked for A. P. Green. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: daughter, Tina Wright of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Tammy Beliew and Robert Wright and great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Elizabeth and J. D. Sheffield, Bailey and Shelby Beliew.
