Lola Mamo

September 15, 1923 — February 19, 2008

Funeral services for Lola Mamo, age 84, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jerry Jones will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Seymore Cemetery, with Jimm Skaggs, Johnny Quisenberry, Andrew Trout, Larry Curfman, Mike Smith, Christ Trout, and Mark Flemens serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Alvin McPhearson.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Mamo passed away on Tuesday afternoon, February 19, 2008, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Reilly Springs, on September 15, 1923, the daughter of Oscar and Lena Mae Green McPhearson.

Ms. Mamo was the retired owner of Granny's Attic, in Sulphur Springs.

Survivors include: a daughter, Jean-Marie Quisenberry, of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Faye Parsley of Plano, and Vera Skaggs of Sulphur Springs; one brother, Alvin McPhearson of Sun City, California; grandchildren, Carole Verardo and Jimmy Covert; and great-grandchildren, Ryan Covert, James Covert, and Jenny Lynn Varardo.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Truman McPhearson.
