Graveside service for Louise (Potts) Wright Anderson, age 95, of Sulphur Springs, Texas. will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Greenview Cemetery with Bro. David Hamm officiating and Pat Potts, Bo Potts, Geary Almon, Matt Nixon, Odis Walls, and Scotty Almon serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Anderson passed away at Christus Mother Frances in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on Monday, June 1, 2026.
Louise (Potts) Wright Anderson was born on February 7, 1931, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to the late John and Willie (Lay) Potts. She married John Wright in Rockwall, Texas, on January 30, 1954, and then later married Carl Anderson in Mesquite, Texas, in December of 2006. Louise was a hardworking and dedicated businesswoman who took great pride in owning and operating her own BBQ restaurant as well as a residential cleaning service. Through her entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic, she touched the lives of many in her community. Louise was also a faithful member of Freedom Church of God in Emory, Texas, where she found strength in her faith and fellowship with her church family.
Louise is survived by her grandson, Brandon Walls of Pasadena, California; granddaughter, Marisa Nixon and husband Matt of Mesquite, Texas; great-grandchildren, Julia Walls, Alison Walls, Maggie Walls, Madeline Nixon, Ella Nixon, Barrett Nixon; nieces, Linda Almon and husband Geary of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Rhonda Argenbright and husband Larry of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Judy Joslin and husband Bobby of Sulphur Springs; nephew, Pat Potts and wife Patsy of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Julie Lynne Walls; brothers, Tommy Potts, Alvie Potts, J.D. Potts, R.P. Potts; sister, Lois Hatcher; and great-grandson, Benjamin Nixon.
